Monument Heights Baptist Church

The Ceremony will take place at my home church of Monument Heights Baptist Church at the Corners of Monument and Libbie in Richmond, Va. I always dreamed of getting married here because it's the picturesqe church with the steeple and the big doors and the huge aisle with wooden benches and I really hope they will ring the bell at the end of the ceremony.

The Ceremony will be a very traditional baptist one:
 Organ Prelude
Seating of Grandmothers
Seating of Mothers
Processional of Bridal Party
Invocation
Giving of the Bride
Scripture Lesson ( Col. 3 :12-14)
Exchange of vows
Reading? ( probably not doing one)
Exchange of rings
prayer of blessing
Lighting of Unity Candle
Pronouncement of Marriage
Organ Recessional

This should take between 30 and 40 min. I am meeting mid August with the Organist to pick my songs for the ceremony. I am really old fashioned about this part and it means alot to me to be reciting the same vows both our parents said and so many other beforehand.

Below are some pictures of the church.  The outside where I will walk in, the vesitbule where the programs and cell phone sign will be, and the actual sanctuary.

The church has agreed to let me use the flowers they have on hand for the altar and they will provide candles in the windows. I will also have an aisle runner ( see DIY) and may have people be seated to either side of the church so no one but BP and me walk down the runner.  I am also making pew pomanders. They will be places on every other pew in about the first 10 rows. Maybe the first 15 I havn't decided yet.  We are probably going to rope off the back half of the church so people arn't so spread out.
